Unique cable winder makes things quicker and simpler
A special cable winder that automatically locks the fibre cables means that surplus cable can be tidied away quickly and easily. As a result, you do not need to cut the fibre cables to a particular length. Simply weld the cables together and wind up the surplus! The weld itself is safely protected on the cable winder.

The housing is easily opened with just a single handgrip, though it still has a secure and sealable snap-lock to prevent unauthorised access to the equipment.

Minimal wall-space requirement means
plenty of installation options
Appearance and size are important factors at home or in the office. Despite the cable drum and the simple installation, the Fiber2home housing takes up just 100x120 mm of wall space, so it can be installed just about anywhere. Wall mounting is achieved directly using screws in "keyholes" without needing to loosen the electronics. Its elegant white housing means that it blends nicely into its environment.

Protected fibre contacts eliminate damage
to connectors and the risk of eye injuries
The sensitive fibre contacts are of course completely protected inside the housing, thus preventing loosening of the fibre cable with the attendant risk of eye injury caused by looking directly into the fibre cable.

Six LEDs provide complete status monitoring
LEDs provide information about activity, both on the fibre side and on the copper side. Link pulse, collisions, full or half duplex, speed, etc. – all are displayed on the front of the unit, to allow the simple diagnosis of errors.

No compromise on settings
The unit has all the functions that would normally be found only on considerably more expensive products. For example, the switch on the card allows selection of 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps or "auto-negotiation". It is similarly possible to select between running full or half duplex.
